Ushers

Mission Statement

Scripture: I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.  Psalm 84:10 NKJV

When a Believer or non-believer comes to our church, they should be greeted with Christ.  That is, greet them with kindness, love and respect.  People with gifts in hospitality, communication or encouragement may be good in this important role.

A.    Ushers are an important part of a church organization. A church usher is the representative of the church.  They perform tasks that help services flow at a certain pace.  They are responsible for welcoming and presenting information to visitors and newcomers at the church. Ushers act as a guide, escorting visitors throughout the church and helping them register in the church’s visitor directory.

B.    Ushers greet the congregation with a smile, while handling out programs. Ushers work with all ministries’ to serve at each service, such as, funerals, musicals, plays, revivals and much more.
